Pulau Pinang, 27 June 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) has reinforced its commitment to strengthening integrity and governance through a surprise inspection at its Penang state office to assess compliance and service quality.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Pelancongan, Seni dan Budaya Malaysia, the inspection was conducted by MOTAC’s Integrity Unit, led by its head, PPj Yusof Amanah bin Marinsah, together with his team.
The inspection focused on several key areas, including staff attendance, work performance and dress code compliance, customer counter service quality, management of departmental vehicles, office security and handling of classified documents, professional telephone etiquette, and adherence to existing regulations.
MOTAC said the on-site approach reflects the ministry’s continued commitment to strengthening good governance, enhancing accountability among its workforce, and ensuring all offices operate according to the highest standards.

The findings from the inspection will serve as the basis for continuous improvements aimed at maintaining efficiency, transparency and integrity across the ministry’s operations.
The surprise inspection also received the full cooperation of Encik Rohaizad bin Abu Hassan, Head of the Licensing and Enforcement Unit at the MOTAC Penang Office. – The Capital Post.
