Kampung Chennah Selected as APAD MADANI Village 2026

JELEBU, 13 July 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) launched the MADANI Village Adoption Programme 2026 at the Kampung Chennah Community Hall, Jelebu, Negeri Sembilan.

The launch ceremony was officiated by Transport Minister YB Loke Siew Fook and attended by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Transport, Jelebu District Officer, senior ministry officials, representatives from government departments and agencies in Jelebu, APAD personnel and local residents.

The selection of Kampung Chennah as APAD’s MADANI Village for 2026 reflects the agency’s continued commitment in supporting the Malaysia MADANI agenda through inclusive and sustainable community development.

To support the initiative, a special allocation of RM500,000 was channelled through the Jelebu District and Land Office to carry out upgrading and repair works on public infrastructure aimed at improving the well-being of residents.

The programme was also enlivened with various community activities including RAHMAH Sales, free health screenings, distribution of free helmets, as well as a durian feast and community gathering that received encouraging response from residents.

The initiative not only strengthened the relationship between APAD and the local community but also provided an opportunity for APAD personnel to engage with residents and appreciate the unique lifestyle of the multi-racial community living harmoniously in Kampung Chennah.
