KUALA LUMPUR, 26 July 2026 (The Capital Post) – National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS) Chairman, YBhg. Dato’ Dr. Hans Isaac, attended the MIFFest Gala x Hong Kong Night held at Parkroyal Collection Kuala Lumpur.
Held under the theme “Hong Kong Cinema in Flux”, the event celebrated the continued evolution, bold reinvention and dynamic storytelling that continue to shape Hong Kong’s film industry.
The gala also brought together key figures from the film industry, including MIFFest Founder Joanne Goh, Director of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office Kuala Lumpur (HKETO Kuala Lumpur), Mr Owin Fung, as well as industry practitioners from Malaysia and Hong Kong.

The event provided a platform to strengthen ties between the Malaysian and Hong Kong film industries while promoting collaboration and cultural exchange through cinema.
