PUTRAJAYA, 27 July 2026 (The Capital Post) – Health Minister YB Datuk Seri Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad today officiated the Ministry of Health’s (MOH) National Month and Fly the Jalur Gemilang Campaign 2026 at the ministry’s headquarters in Putrajaya.
The event was held to foster patriotism and strengthen the spirit of love for the nation among MOH personnel in conjunction with the 2026 National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations. This year’s celebration carries the theme “Malaysia MADANI: Kesejahteraan Dinikmati”, reflecting the nation’s aspiration to ensure shared well-being for all Malaysians.
A highlight of the ceremony was the symbolic presentation of the Jalur Gemilang by the Health Minister to MOH Secretary-General YBhg. Datuk Seri Hj. Hasnol Zam Zam bin Hj. Ahmad, Health Director-General YBhg. Datuk Dr. Mahathar bin Abd. Wahab, and Deputy Director-General of Health (Public Health) YBrs. Dr. Ismuni bin Bohari. The flag presentation marked the official launch of the campaign, which will be carried out at MOH facilities nationwide.
In his speech, Dr. Dzulkefly urged MOH personnel to embrace the true meaning of independence, describing it as more than freedom from colonial rule but also a commitment to building a healthier and more prosperous society. He added that the values of unity, compassion and professionalism demonstrated by MOH staff in delivering healthcare services to all Malaysians, regardless of race, religion or background, embody the principles of Malaysia MADANI.

Also present were senior MOH officials, including Deputy Secretary-General (Management) YBhg. Datuk Azah Hanim Ahmad, Deputy Secretary-General (Finance) YBhg. Dato’ Sri Zahrul Hakim Abdullah, Deputy Director-General of Health (Dental) YBrs. Dr. Fauziah Ahmad, and Deputy Director-General of Health (Pharmacy Services) YBrs. Dr. Azuana Ramli.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia, the campaign aims to instil patriotism among MOH personnel while encouraging the nationwide display of the Jalur Gemilang in conjunction with the 2026 National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations. – The Capital Post
