PUTRAJAYA, 31 July 2026 (The Capital Post) – The 10th National Land Day celebration highlighted the government’s continued commitment to reforming land administration through digitalisation, improved governance and sustainable resource management.
The event was officiated by Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Datuk Sri Arthur Joseph Kurup at Dewan Baiduri, Menara PETRA. Also present were Ministry Secretary-General Datuk Wira Anis Rizana Mohd. Zainudin and Director-General of the Department of the Director General of Lands and Mines (JKPTG), Dato’ Haji Mohd Fauzi Haji Mohd Yatim.
In his address, Arthur said the implementation of the e-Tanah system across seven state land administrations and the Federal Territories since 2017 has significantly improved service delivery, strengthened governance transparency and increased government revenue.
Among the achievements highlighted was land revenue collection in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, which exceeded RM3 billion over the past five years. He also noted that sustainable management of marine sand resources by JKPTG had boosted licensing fee revenue from RM11 million in 2021 to RM75 million in 2025.

Arthur said the National Land Day celebration serves not only to recognise achievements but also to reinforce the government’s commitment to enhancing land governance, expanding digital services, optimising land resource management and ensuring sustainable national development for the benefit of the people.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Sumber Asli dan Kelestarian Alam (NRES), the celebration reflects the government’s ongoing efforts to modernise land administration and strengthen sustainable management of the nation’s land resources. – The Capital Post
