KDN Honours 524 Outstanding Officers in Sabah

KOTA KINABALU, 6 August 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN) recognised 524 recipients at the 2025 Excellence Awards for departments and agencies under the ministry in Sabah, in appreciation of their outstanding performance, commitment and dedication in public service.

The award ceremony was officiated by Home Affairs Secretary-General Datuk Dr. Awang Alik Jeman and attended by Sabah Federal Secretary Datuk Mohd Razali Wahab, Deputy Secretary-General (Security) Abdul Halim Abdul Rahman, Deputy Secretary-General (Management) Ainah Mohd Soon, National Registration Department Director-General Dato’ Badrul Hisham Alias, heads of departments and senior ministry officials.

The ministry said the awards not only celebrate excellence but also carry the responsibility of inspiring others and strengthening a work culture founded on integrity, accountability and service to the nation.

In his address, Awang Alik said while buildings can be rebuilt, policies amended and technology continues to evolve, honesty, trustworthiness and integrity will always remain the true measure of an individual’s credibility.

He expressed hope that the recognition would inspire recipients to continue delivering high-quality public service for the benefit of the people and the country.
