MOTAC Strengthens Workplace Collaboration Through Joint Council Meeting

MELAKA, 6 August 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening organisational governance and employee engagement through the second Joint Departmental Council (MBJ) Meeting for 2026.

The meeting was chaired by MOTAC Secretary-General Datuk Shaharuddin Abu Sohot and served as a platform for management and employees to discuss matters related to organisational development, staff welfare and service delivery.

The ministry said the meeting encourages open and constructive dialogue to enhance cooperation between management and staff while supporting a more dynamic and effective organisation.

Discussions also focused on improving employee well-being, strengthening workplace collaboration and enhancing the ministry’s delivery of public services.

Following the meeting, participants attended a product update visit to Kraftangan Malaysia’s Melaka branch to foster closer cooperation and collaboration between the ministry and its agencies.
