7,100 Schools to Receive ICT Upgrade

PUTRAJAYA, 8 August 2026 (The Capital Post) – More than 7,100 schools nationwide will benefit from the implementation of the Personal Computer and Printer Rental Service Phase 1 (2026), aimed at strengthening information and communications technology (ICT) facilities for school administrative offices under the Ministry of Education (MOE).

The service handover ceremony was officiated by the Ministry of Education’s Deputy Secretary-General (Management), YBhg. Dato’ Indera Ikmalrudin bin Ishak.

The initiative is intended to enhance ICT infrastructure, streamline school administrative operations and improve the efficiency of education service delivery across the country.

The ministry said the rollout forms part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen digital infrastructure in schools and support more effective administrative management.

According to a post on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia, the implementation of the Personal Computer and Printer Rental Service Phase 1 (2026) will provide improved ICT support for school administration nationwide. – The Capital Post
