MELAKA, 10 August 2026 (The Capital Post) – Deputy Defence Minister YB Adly Zahari officiated the Santuni MADANI Bukit Katil Programme at the Melaka Tengah Vocational College field, aimed at empowering the local community through direct engagement between government agencies, the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) and residents.
The programme also saw the implementation of four community projects by the 9th Squadron of the Royal Malaysian Engineers Regiment (9 Skn RAJD), with an allocation of RM193,000.
The projects included the upgrading of a sports court and community hall, as well as repair works involving the fencing and drainage system at SJK (C) Keh Seng.
The initiatives also strengthened civil-military cooperation (CIMIC), while fostering unity and volunteerism among members of the local community.

In line with Thrust 4 of the National Defence Strategic Plan (PSPN) 2026–2030, the Ministry of Defence will continue strengthening strategic ties between the ATM and the people through a Whole-of-Government and Whole-of-Society approach.
The approach aims to build national resilience and a resilient and sustainable defence ecosystem.
