KUALA LUMPUR, 23 August 2026 (The Capital Post) – Nestlé Omega Plus® is set to launch Walk A Million Miles (WAMM) 2026, placing greater emphasis on younger Malaysians and early action to protect heart health.

Held under the theme “Don’t Miss A Beat. Start Early.”, the programme is being organised in collaboration with new partner Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional (PTPTN), alongside long-standing partners Yayasan Jantung Malaysia (YJM) and Institut Jantung Negara Foundation (IJNF).

The initiative aims to encourage younger Malaysians to take greater responsibility for their heart health through physical activity, health screening and early preventive measures.

The stronger focus on young adults comes amid concerns over undiagnosed health risks among this group.

According to the National Health and Morbidity Survey 2023, among Malaysians aged 18 to 29 with the respective conditions, 95% of those with hypercholesterolaemia, 80% with hypertension and 84% with diabetes were undiagnosed.

Walk A Million Miles has evolved from a community walking initiative into a broader heart-health movement, with this year’s programme incorporating activities focused on movement, screening and heart-health education.

The launch will feature presentations from Nestlé Malaysia, healthcare experts and programme partners on the importance of early heart-health prevention.

It will also include an interactive panel discussion and media question-and-answer session, alongside heart-health screening and educational activities. – The Capital Post
