PUTRAJAYA, 24 August 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Health (KKM) held an engagement session on Budget 2027 to gather views and identify key priorities for the health sector in the preparation of next year’s budget.
The session was attended by Health Minister YB Datuk Seri Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad and provided a platform to discuss proposals aimed at strengthening the country’s healthcare system.
Among the areas discussed were improving access to and the quality of healthcare services, strengthening health facilities and the workforce, and ensuring service delivery is more efficient, sustainable and responsive to the needs of the people.
The Ministry of Finance (MoF) Budget Team also attended the session to hear and obtain direct input from KKM and relevant stakeholders.

KKM’s views and proposals will serve as important inputs in the review and preparation of Budget 2027.
The government said continued engagement with ministries and stakeholders reflects its commitment to ensuring proposed initiatives are assessed comprehensively, based on actual needs and focused on measurable outcomes for the wellbeing of the people.
