KUALA LUMPUR, 15 September 2026 (The Capital Post) – Malaysia’s rich cultural heritage and artistic diversity took centre stage at the official opening of Festival Budaya Malaysia 2026 (FBM 2026) at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa on Sunday (13 September).
Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister YB Dato Sri Tiong King Sing officiated the festival, which featured cultural performances showcasing Malaysia’s diverse arts and traditions.
The opening ceremony highlighted the country’s cultural heritage through performances designed to encourage greater appreciation of Malaysia’s artistic and cultural identity.
Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) Secretary-General YBhg. Dato’ Shaharuddin bin Abu Sohot was also present at the event.

FBM 2026 is being held at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa from 11 to 16 September, with activities running from 9am until midnight.
Visitors can experience a range of cultural activities and performances throughout the festival, providing a platform to celebrate and appreciate Malaysia’s diverse cultural heritage.
