KUALA LUMPUR, 3 October 2026 (The Capital Post) – Malaysia is strengthening its Malaysian Sustainable Natural Rubber (MSNR) framework and expanding industry cooperation to support demand for sustainable, traceable and responsibly sourced natural rubber.
Plantation and Commodities Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini Ahmad witnessed the handover of the MSNR Model Verification and Validation Study Report by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia to the Malaysian Rubber Board during the Malaysian Rubber Industry Business Networking 2026 event in Kuala Lumpur on 2 October.
The study is intended to support the implementation and credibility of the MSNR framework while helping the industry meet market requirements for sustainable and traceable natural rubber.
Noraini also officially launched the MSNR Global Alliance, a platform bringing together industry players and international partners to strengthen sustainability, traceability and cooperation across the natural rubber value chain.

The Ministry of Plantation and Commodities said Malaysia’s rubber industry recorded RM31.53 billion in export revenue in 2025.
The ministry said it remains committed to improving the industry’s competitiveness and strengthening Malaysia’s position as a trusted supplier of sustainable natural rubber in international markets.
