KL International Beauty Week 2026 Showcases Over 120 Brands

KUALA LUMPUR, 11 October 2026 (The Capital Post) – KL International Beauty Week 2026 (KLIBW 2026) brought together more than 120 local and international brands at Mid Valley Megamall on Saturday (10 October), highlighting the potential of Malaysia’s beauty and lifestyle industries to support tourism and economic growth.

The event was officially launched by Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) Secretary-General Dato’ Shaharuddin Abu Sohot, bringing together industry players to celebrate beauty, innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship.

KLIBW 2026 aims to strengthen the beauty and lifestyle sectors as part of Malaysia’s wider tourism ecosystem while creating opportunities for local businesses to expand their networks and reach international markets.

The event also provides a platform for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and homegrown brands to enhance their competitiveness and explore opportunities beyond the domestic market.

Another key objective is to reinforce Kuala Lumpur’s position as a regional destination for urban tourism, shopping and lifestyle experiences.

The programme also highlights the importance of strategic partnerships between the public and private sectors in diversifying Malaysia’s tourism offerings and supporting industry development.

According to MOTAC, events such as KLIBW 2026 have the potential to stimulate economic activity across related sectors, including hospitality, retail, transportation, and food and beverage services.

In line with the Visit Malaysia 2026–2027 campaign, the ministry is working to position Malaysia as a tourism destination offering a diverse range of experiences, including beauty, wellness, fashion, gastronomy, arts and culture.

Through closer collaboration between government agencies and industry stakeholders, KLIBW 2026 is expected to support local talent development, strengthen Malaysian brands and encourage sustainable industry growth.
