KUALA LUMPUR, 13 October 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Tabung Pahlawan 2026/2027 campaign has set a fundraising target of RM5 million to support Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) veterans, following an increase in contributions during previous campaigns.
The campaign was officially launched by Dato’ Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, wife of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and patron of the Tabung Pahlawan campaign, at Wisma Perwira in Kuala Lumpur on Monday (12 October).
According to the Ministry of Defence, contributions to Tabung Pahlawan increased from RM1.306 million during the 2023/2024 campaign to RM3.351 million in 2025/2026.
The latest fundraising target reflects efforts to expand support for former military personnel, particularly veterans facing health challenges and financial difficulties.
Tabung Pahlawan provides assistance to ATM veterans in need, including those who are seriously ill, bedridden or require additional welfare support.
The ministry emphasised that the campaign serves not only to recognise the sacrifices and contributions of Malaysia’s military personnel but also to highlight the importance of supporting their welfare during and after service.
