KUDAT, 5 September 2026 (The Capital Post) – Deputy Defence Minister YB Adly Zahari conducted a working visit to the Pasir Utara Operations Area in Kudat to assess the operational readiness of the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) and defence capabilities in the country’s strategic area.
The visit covered Kem Sri Kudat and Pos Dogotan, including an operational briefing on the deployment and readiness of personnel on the ground.
Adly also met with personnel carrying out operational duties and presented contributions to Surau Syed Faizuddin at Kem Sri Kudat and Rezeki Boxes for personnel at Pos Dogotan.
The focus on personnel welfare forms part of efforts to maintain morale, motivation and the effectiveness of ATM operations.

The visit is in line with Pillar 1 of the National Defence Strategic Plan (PSPN) 2026–2030, which emphasises strengthening defence capabilities and readiness to safeguard national interests.
The initiative also supports ATM preparedness in facing security challenges, protecting strategic interests and defending national sovereignty.
