Authorities hunting suspects who made death threats against Sarawak leaders

MIRI: Sarawak police and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) are hunting down a social media writer who allegedly posted death threats against Sarawak Governor Tun Abdul Taib Mahmud and Santubong MP Datuk Seri Wan Junaidi Jaafar.

The threats were allegedly posted on Facebook by someone called “Raja Rimba”, said Sarawak Deputy Police Commissioner Datuk Dev Kumar on Tuesday (Oct 22).

When contacted by The Star, Dev Kumar said there were two separate death threat cases.

“There have been two police reports lodged against this Raja Rimba … we are investigating if the name used by the suspect is real or fake,” he said.-The Star
