PUTRAJAYA, 31 August 2026 (The Capital Post) – Home Ministry (KDN) Secretary-General YBhg. Datuk Dr. Awang Alik bin Jeman today attended the 2026 National Day Prime Minister’s Address delivered by Prime Minister YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
In his address marking the 69th National Day, Anwar stressed that independence is not merely about freedom but also a responsibility to strengthen unity, uphold justice, promote good governance and ensure the benefits of national development are enjoyed by all Malaysians.
The MADANI Government remains committed to strengthening the economic foundation, addressing cost-of-living issues and ensuring inclusive development regardless of race or background.

During the address, the Prime Minister also announced six new initiatives covering BUDI95, school maintenance, strengthening artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities among young people, public healthcare digitalisation, e-INVOIS, as well as financing and grants for small traders.
