Cameron Highlands Tests Riders in LTdL Stage Four

IPOH, 2 October 2026 (The Capital Post) – The fourth stage of Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL) 2026 tested riders over a challenging 142.3-kilometre route from Meru Raya to Cameron Highlands, with the climb through Tapah towards Tanah Rata forming the main challenge.

The 30 September stage featured the second summit finish of LTdL 2026 following Gunung Jerai, putting riders’ endurance and climbing ability to the test.

The route passed through natural attractions including Lata Iskandar before heading towards Tanah Rata, known for its cooler climate, tea plantations and agrotourism activities.

Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) Assistant Director for Traffic Control Superintendent Mohd Irwan Abdul Rahim stressed the importance of operational readiness in safeguarding riders, race officials and road users throughout the route.

JSPT personnel carried out traffic and safety control measures along the course, including coordinating convoy movements to ensure the race proceeded smoothly while minimising disruption to other road users.

The fifth stage of LTdL 2026 was scheduled for 1 October, covering 125.7 kilometres from Tapah to Genting Highlands and continuing the climbing challenge in the race’s 30th edition.

According to a post on the official Facebook page of Polis Diraja Malaysia ( Royal Malaysia Police ), traffic police were deployed throughout the route to support rider safety and maintain orderly traffic movement during the race – The Capital Post
