Communications Ministry Promotes Healthy Lifestyle Through National Sports Day

KUALA LUMPUR, 10 October 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Communications celebrated National Sports Day 2026 at Menara Komunikasi on Friday (9 October), bringing together ministry personnel for various fitness and recreational activities aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles and strengthening workplace relationships.

Communications Ministry Secretary-General Datuk Abdul Halim Hamzah attended the ministry-level celebration, which featured a range of activities designed to encourage employees to remain physically active and foster stronger bonds among colleagues.

The programme was organised by the Management Services Division (BKP) in collaboration with the ministry’s PUSPANITA branch (PCKK) and the Communications Ministry Sports and Welfare Club (KESKOM).

Among the activities held were Zumba sessions, intelligence tests, traditional games, Explorace challenges and a Tower Run.

Abdul Halim also participated in the intelligence test activity, joining ministry personnel in the day’s programme.

The celebration aimed to encourage a culture of active and healthy living while promoting teamwork, cooperation and closer relationships among employees.

The initiative also provided an opportunity for ministry personnel to engage in recreational activities outside their regular work responsibilities.

Also present were Deputy Secretary-General (Strategic Communications and Creative Industry) Datuk Bahria Mohd Tamil, Senior Undersecretary (Management) Datuk Aminurrahim Mohamed and Communications Ministry PUSPANITA Branch Chairperson Datin Anita Zarina Salahuddin.

According to a post on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Komunikasi, the National Sports Day celebration reflected the ministry’s commitment to encouraging employee well-being, promoting physical activity and strengthening unity within the organisation – The Capital Post
