DPM’s office denies appointing advisor, will lodge police report against individual

PUTRAJAYA: The office of the Deputy Prime Minister has denied appointing an individual by the name of Raymond Cheah as an advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister.

“Any dealings involving this person has no connection whatsoever with the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office or with Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail (pic).

“A police report will be lodged against the said individual for abusing the good name of the Office, ” said the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office in a statement Friday (Jan 24).

The statement was posted in Dr Wan Azizah’s facebook, along with a copy of a name card of the said person.

It is stated on the card that Raymond Cheah is “advisor to DPM department” with Dr Wan Azizah and her husband, Port Dickson MP Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, also printed on it. -The Star
