PETALING JAYA: The Election Commission (EC) has opened up applications from Thursday (June 15 ) to July 7 for observers for the upcoming state elections.

It said the applications for observers representing an organisation are subject to conditions stated.
Those interested can go to the EC portal at https://www.spr.gov.my/ for further information and download the application form.
“Observers are allowed to observe the election process such as nomination, campaign, early voting, vote counting and the official vote tally until the final announcement by the EC,” said EC secretary Datuk Indera Ikmalrudin Ishak in a statement on Thursday (June 15).

“Those interested in the program must send in their application before the closing date,” he added.
