Foreign Woman Found Dead in Nilai Dormitory; Murder Investigation Underway

SEREMBAN, 4 March 2026  (The Capital Post)— A foreign woman in her 30s was found dead with multiple slash wounds on her neck at a foreign worker dormitory in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, police confirmed, as investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the case.

The Nilai District Police Chief, Supt Johari Yahya, said officers were alerted at around 11.21 pm on Monday after a local man made a MERS 999 call reporting that a woman was found unconscious and bleeding on a stairway at the workers’ accommodation. Initial checks at the scene revealed the victim had suffered repeated cuts to her neck from a sharp weapon, according to a police statement.

A forensic examination confirmed that the injuries were consistent with multiple slash wounds, prompting authorities to classify the case as a suspected murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

Police said the motive for the attack remains unclear, but initial evidence has not ruled out the possibility of a personal or financial dispute. Officers are continuing their enquiries and appealing to anyone with information to come forward to assist with the investigation.
