KUALA LUMPUR, June 2, 2026 (The Capital Post) – According to information shared on the official Facebook page of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), Inspector-General of Police (IGP) IG Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Hj. Mohd Khalid Hj. Ismail was conferred the Panglima Mangku Negara (P.M.N.) award, which carries the title “Tan Sri”, by His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, during a ceremony held at Balairong Seri, Istana Negara.
The conferment took place in conjunction with the Audience Ceremony and the Investiture Ceremony of Federal Orders, Decorations and Medals held in celebration of His Majesty’s Official Birthday.
Her Majesty Raja Permaisuri Agong Raja Zarith Sofiah also graced the ceremony.
The Panglima Mangku Negara (P.M.N.) is a first-class federal honour that carries the title “Tan Sri” and is awarded to individuals who have rendered distinguished service and significant contributions to the nation.
Also receiving the honour were Chief of Defence Forces Tan Sri Hj. Malek Razak Sulaiman and Member of the Johor Royal Council Advisory Board Tan Sri Dr. Daing A. Malek Daing A. Rahaman.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Police Officer of Perlis SAC Zaihairul Idrus and Head of Secretariat of the Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department at Bukit Aman ACP Sukarno Mohd Zahari were conferred the Kesatria Mangku Negara (K.M.N.) award.
A total of 144 recipients received Federal Orders, Decorations and Medals during this year’s ceremony.
The historic event was attended by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, members of the Cabinet, former IGP Tan Sri Razarudin Husain, Chairperson of the Police Family Association of Malaysia Puan Sri Datuk (Dr.) Hjh. Munirah Che Rose, Deputy IGP Tan Sri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay, senior police officers, government officials and members of the diplomatic corps.
The conferment reflects the nation’s recognition of outstanding service and dedication towards maintaining public safety, national security and public trust in law enforcement institutions. – The Capital Post
