Jalan Genting-Amber Court reopens to traffic

KUANTAN (Bernama): Jalan Genting-Amber Court in Genting Highlands near here, which was closed due to a landslide on Tuesday (Nov 5), has been reopened.

Bentong district deputy police chief DSP Mohd Shahril Abdul Rahman said the clearing works were completed on Thursday (Nov 7), allowing the road to be reopened to all vehicles as usual.

“However, motorists are advised to avoid using the road at night to prevent untoward incidents,” he said in a statement here Friday (Nov 8).

In the 5.30pm incident, a landslide occurred near the exhibition hall of a real estate company there following heavy rain which lasted for several hours. No casualties were reported.

The affected road was not the main route to the highland tourist resort. – Bernama
