PUTRAJAYA, 1 July 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Royal Malaysian Customs Department (JKDM) has received national recognition for its bureaucratic reform initiative, MyCIEDS, during the Reformasi Kerenah Birokrasi (RKB) Recognition Ceremony held at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC).
The ceremony was officiated by Chief Secretary to the Government, Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar, and celebrated ministries, agencies and project teams that have successfully implemented reform initiatives to strengthen governance, improve workplace efficiency and enhance the delivery of public services.
Representing JKDM was Tuan Durairajoo a/l Muniandy, who attended the event alongside Tuan Anizal Zainal Abidin, Head of the Modernisation and Reform Unit (UPP) under the Corporate Planning Division at JKDM Headquarters, as well as MyCIEDS Project Leader Tuan Mohamad Faizul Abdul Latiff, Senior Assistant Director of Customs II from the Customs Division.

During the ceremony, JKDM, under the Ministry of Finance, received recognition from the Director-General of Public Service in the Reformasi Kerenah Birokrasi (RKB) Project category for its initiative titled “Improving the Efficiency of Supporting Document Submission Management for Customs Import and Export Goods” (Project Series No. RKB00180).
The project aims to streamline the management of supporting documents for customs-related import and export processes, contributing to faster processing, improved operational efficiency and enhanced service delivery for stakeholders.
The event also featured the presentation of certificates of appreciation to the AI Productivity Paradox Team, awards for the Media Coverage Competition, and recognition for outstanding Reformasi Kerenah Birokrasi projects that have demonstrated meaningful improvements across the public sector.
The recognition reflects the government’s continued emphasis on public sector transformation through innovation, digitalisation and process improvement to deliver more efficient and citizen-centric services. – The Capital Post
