CYBERJAYA, 11 September 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Department of Irrigation and Drainage (JPS) Malaysia is strengthening innovation across its operations to improve public service delivery, water resource management and the country’s irrigation and drainage sector.
The Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA), through JPS, organised the 2026 JPS Malaysia Innovation Day at the JPS Malaysia Multipurpose Hall in Cyberjaya on Thursday.
PETRA Water Resources Division Secretary Pn. Roshana Alma binti Mohd Ali officiated the event on behalf of the ministry, witnessed by JPS Director-General Datuk Ir. Mohamad Radzi bin Abdul Talib.
The biennial event recognises JPS personnel for cultivating a culture of innovation and developing creative solutions that contribute to greater efficiency in service delivery and water resource management.

The event also featured several awards, including the Outcome Evaluation Award, Best Construction Project Management Award (A3PT) and the New Horizon Innovative and Creative Group Competition (HBKIK).
The awards recognise excellence among JPS personnel and encourage continued innovation across the department.
