KAPAR, Selangor, 8 August 2026 (The Capital Post) – Ministry of Health (KKM) Secretary-General YBhg. Datuk Seri Hj. Hasnol Zam Zam bin Hj. Ahmad conducted a working visit to the construction site of the Kapar Hospital project in Kapar, Selangor, today.
Upon arrival, he received a project briefing from representatives of the Public Works Department (JKR) and the Selangor State Health Department (JKNS), enabling the ministry to comprehensively review the project’s implementation status, identify outstanding issues and coordinate follow-up actions among the relevant stakeholders.
Discussions focused on the current progress of the project, the need for additional funding to ensure the provision of hospital facilities remains on track, staffing requirements to support workforce planning ahead of the hospital’s operations, and the procurement status of medical equipment to ensure the hospital can begin operations as scheduled.
Datuk Seri Hasnol Zam Zam also toured the construction site to observe the latest progress of the project.

The Kapar Hospital project is one of KKM’s key healthcare development initiatives, with a total project cost of RM831 million. The 312-bed hospital has recorded satisfactory physical progress and is approaching its scheduled implementation target, with completion expected on 26 March 2027.
Also present were Deputy Director-General of Health (Medical) YBhg. Dato’ Dr. Mohd Azman bin Yacob, Senior Deputy Undersecretary of the KKM Development Division YBrs. Encik Nazaruddin bin Sharaai, Selangor State Health Director YBrs. Dr. Ummi Kalthom binti Shamsudin, and JKR Chief Superintending Officer Representative YBrs. Encik Mohamad Nizam bin Mustafa.
