KOTA BHARU, 2 July 2026 (The Capital Post) – Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development Datuk Hajah Rubiah Haji Wang officiated the KESEDAR Entrepreneur Icon Awards 2026, held as the closing event of the Program Mega Karnival Usahawan KESEDAR (MEKAR) 2026.
The awards ceremony celebrated the achievements of entrepreneurs from the South Kelantan region who have demonstrated excellence in developing their businesses while contributing to the socio-economic growth of their local communities.
A total of nine award categories were presented, including the prestigious KESEDAR Entrepreneur of the Year 2026 award. Each recipient also received a RM5,000 business grant to support the expansion and growth of their respective enterprises.

Rubiah congratulated all award recipients and expressed hope that the recognition would inspire them to continue growing their businesses and contribute further to rural economic development.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Kemajuan Desa dan Wilayah, the ministry remains committed to strengthening the rural entrepreneurship ecosystem through high-impact initiatives aimed at producing more competitive, innovative and sustainable entrepreneurs while driving rural development and improving the well-being of local communities. – The Capital Post.
