KUALA LUMPUR, 6 October 2026 (The Capital Post) – His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, conferred the 2026 Malaysian Armed Forces Gallantry Awards (DKAT) on 150 recipients at Istana Negara today.
Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, Queen of Malaysia, was also present at the investiture ceremony.
Among those attending were Defence Minister Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, Chief of Defence Force General Tan Sri Haji Malek Razak Sulaiman, Defence Ministry Secretary-General Datuk Lokman Hakim Ali and senior leaders of the Malaysian Armed Forces.
His Majesty, as Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, conferred the Panglima Gagah Angkatan Tentera (PGAT) award on General Tan Sri Haji Malek Razak Sulaiman and Chief of Army General Tan Sri Azhan Md Othman.
Honorary PGAT awards were also conferred on Thailand Chief of Defence Forces General Ukris Boontanondhat, Singapore Chief of Navy Rear Admiral Sean Wat, Royal Brunei Air Force Commander Brigadier General (Air) Haszahaidi Ahmad Daud and Philippine Air Force Commanding General Lieutenant General Arthur Mirasol Cordura.

The ceremony also saw 22 recipients awarded the Panglima Setia Angkatan Tentera (PSAT), 30 receiving the Pahlawan Angkatan Tentera (PAT), 49 receiving the Kesatria Angkatan Tentera (KAT) and 43 receiving the Bentara Angkatan Tentera (BAT).
Also present were Chief of Navy Admiral Tan Sri Zulhelmy Ithnain and Chief of Air Force General Tan Sri Muhamad Norazlan Aris.
