KUALA LUMPUR, 9 October 2026 (The Capital Post) – His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, conferred the 2026 Police Gallantry Awards (DKPP) on 159 Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) personnel in recognition of their leadership, dedicated service and sacrifices in safeguarding national security.
The investiture ceremony was held at Balairung Seri, Istana Negara, on Thursday (8 October), with Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, Queen of Malaysia, also in attendance.
The ceremony, which began at 9am, recognised police personnel for their contributions, courage and commitment in carrying out their duties and responsibilities.
Among the recipients of the First Class Panglima Gagah Pasukan Polis (P.G.P.P.) award were Special Branch Director CP Dato’ Sri Ibrahim Darus, Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department Director CP Dato’ Sri Muhammed Hasbullah Ali and Integrity and Standards Compliance Department Director CP Dato’ Aida Abdul Hamid.
Other recipients included Logistics and Technology Department Director CP Datuk Redzuan Abd Hamid, Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department Director CP Dato’ Sri Noor Hisam Nordin and Management Department Director CP Datuk Mohamad Zainal Hj. Abdullah, alongside five other senior PDRM officers.
His Majesty also conferred the Second Class Panglima Setia Pasukan Polis (P.S.P.P.) award on 31 recipients, the Third Class Pahlawan Pasukan Polis (P.P.P.) award on 44 recipients, the Fourth Class Kesatria Pasukan Polis (K.P.P.) award on 15 recipients and the Fifth Class Bentara Pasukan Polis (B.P.P.) award on 58 recipients.

Also present were Deputy Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Shamsul Anuar Hj. Nasarah, Home Ministry Secretary-General Datuk Dr. Awang Alik Jeman and Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Hj. Mohd Khalid Hj. Ismail.
The Inspector-General was accompanied by his wife, Puan Sri Datuk (Dr.) Hjh. Munirah Che Rose, who is also Chairperson of the Malaysian Police Family Association (PERKEP), alongside members of PDRM’s senior leadership.
The DKPP 2026 investiture ceremony reflects the nation’s appreciation for the dedication, bravery and sacrifices of police personnel in maintaining public safety, peace and national sovereignty.
