SEPANG, June 4, 2026 (The Capital Post) – According to information shared on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Kerja Raya Malaysia (KKR), the ministry’s Secretary-General Datuk Seri Azman Ibrahim conducted a site visit to inspect an uneven road along the protocol route leading to Terminal 2 of Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA2) following a complaint raised during a Post-Cabinet Meeting (POSKAB).
Also present during the visit were Deputy Director-General of Public Works (Infrastructure) Ir. Mohd Shahrom Ahmad Saman, Director of the Road Facility Maintenance Branch Ir. Ts. Mohd Nasir Bontat and Sepang District Engineer Azarul Azlan Mohd Radhi.
The inspection found that the affected road section remains under the maintenance responsibility of Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) and has not yet been officially handed over to the Public Works Department (JKR).
As a result, JKR Sepang will submit an official letter to MAHB requesting maintenance works to be carried out at the location.

KKR said that should MAHB intend to transfer responsibility for the road to JKR, the airport operator must first undertake comprehensive repair works in accordance with JKR’s specifications and standards.
The ministry reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the safety, comfort and smooth travel experience of road users through continuous monitoring and timely action on public infrastructure issues. – The Capital Post
