KUALA LUMPUR, June 4, 2026 (The Capital Post) – According to information shared on the official Facebook page of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability (NRES), the ministry’s Secretary-General Datuk Wira Anis Rizana Mohd Zainudin received a courtesy visit from a delegation of the Business Environment Council (BEC) Hong Kong SAR led by its Chairman, Kevin O’Brien.
The meeting focused on exploring potential strategic cooperation in environmental sustainability, climate change, the circular economy and best practices in natural resource management.
The discussion also served as a platform for both sides to exchange views on current policies and initiatives aimed at strengthening sustainable development efforts while expanding collaboration opportunities between Malaysia and Hong Kong SAR in achieving sustainable development goals.
NRES reiterated its commitment to enhancing cooperation with international stakeholders in advancing environmental sustainability, strengthening climate action and supporting the aspirations of Malaysia MADANI towards balanced, inclusive and resilient development.

Also present during the meeting were BEC Managing Director Noky Wong, BEC Chief Executive Officer Simon Ng, senior officials from the ministry and its agencies, as well as representatives from BEC member companies.
