While taking questions from journalists at the MPOB International Palm Oil Congress and Exhibition 2019 yesterday, Dr Mahathir was seen wiping his nose with a handkerchief after answering a few questions before his escorts whisked him away.

One of his officers confirmed that his nose bled but only for a short while.

“It has stopped bleeding. Now, he has resumed work at his office in Putrajaya. He is all right,” said the aide, who declined to be named.

Bernama reported that Dr Mahathir arrived as scheduled for an event in Sepang yesterday evening, none the worse for wear after having the slight nose bleed.

He arrived at the Movenpick Hotel and Convention Centre just after 5pm, looking as healthy and cheerful as usual. -The Star
