PUTRAJAYA, 4 September 2026 (The Capital Post) – Malaysia and Moscow are exploring stronger tourism cooperation through a courtesy visit by the Moscow City Tourism Committee to the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC).
The visit, held yesterday, was chaired by MOTAC Industry Development Division Secretary Dr. Norwan bin Ahmad and focused on strengthening bilateral tourism ties and identifying opportunities for strategic cooperation.
Discussions also provided a platform for both sides to exchange ideas, experiences and expertise in tourism development while exploring new avenues for collaboration.
Among the key areas discussed were strengthening tourism cooperation between Malaysia and Moscow, promoting tourism destinations, sharing best practices in tourism development and expanding networks that could benefit both sides.

MOTAC said engagements of this nature could help strengthen international tourism networks and create new opportunities within the global tourism landscape.
The meeting reflects the ministry’s continued efforts to expand international cooperation and encourage greater exchange of expertise and experience within the tourism industry.
