PETALING JAYA, 10 September 2026 (The Capital Post) – Malaysia is strengthening its energy reform agenda as regulators and industry stakeholders seek to translate policy into practical action to support a more sustainable, secure and resilient energy future.
The Energy Regulatory Insights (ERI) 2026 conference, organised by the Energy Commission (ST), concluded on Wednesday (9 September) after a two-day programme in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
Held under the theme “Energy Reform, Powering Growth”, the conference brought together stakeholders to discuss measures aimed at strengthening the country’s energy ecosystem and turning policy objectives into practical initiatives.
This year’s conference also saw the launch of the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act (EECA) 2024 communication campaign under the theme “Hargai Tenaga, Guna dengan Bijak”.

The campaign forms part of ST’s efforts to strengthen energy efficiency while ensuring the regulatory framework continues to evolve in line with technological developments, investment needs and the country’s economic growth.
ERI 2026 also provided a platform for speakers, strategic partners and participants to exchange perspectives on Malaysia’s evolving energy landscape.
