Malaysia Unveils Digital Roadmap to 2030

PUTRAJAYA, 29 June 2026 (The Capital Post) – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today launched the Malaysia Digital 2030 Action Plan (MD2030), a national roadmap spearheaded by the Ministry of Digital to accelerate the country’s digital transformation and realise its ambition of becoming an AI Nation by 2030.

According to a post on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Digital, the MD2030 Action Plan will serve as the national implementation framework for the 2026–2030 period, driving Malaysia’s transition from a technology consumer to a globally competitive digital innovation producer.

The roadmap is built on seven strategic pillars covering government, economy, infrastructure, talent, society, trust and security, as well as innovation, with a Whole-of-Government approach to strengthen public service delivery, accelerate digital economic growth and enhance the well-being of the rakyat.

The Ministry of Digital said it will lead the coordination of the national digital agenda alongside ministries and strategic agencies to ensure digital initiatives are implemented in an integrated, inclusive and high-impact manner.
