MINDEF Honours 159 Top Performers, Celebrates 49 Retirees

SEREMBAN, 15 September 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Defence Ministry (MINDEF) recognised 159 personnel for outstanding performance while honouring 49 retirees for their service and contributions to the organisation and country.

The recognition was presented during the ministry-level 2026 Excellent Service Award (APC) and Jasamu Dikenang ceremony for the Southern Zone at Casa Lagenda Convention Centre, Negeri Sembilan.

Defence Ministry Secretary-General YBhg. Datuk Lokman Hakim Ali officiated the ceremony, which recognised MINDEF personnel who demonstrated excellent performance while celebrating those who had completed their service.

A total of 159 MINDEF personnel received the Excellent Service Award, while 49 retirees were honoured under the Jasamu Dikenang recognition.

The ministry said the recognition reflected its commitment to fostering a culture of high performance and professionalism while valuing the experience and contributions of its personnel as a foundation for a resilient and high-performing organisation.

Also present were Human Resource Management Division Secretary YBrs. Encik Mohd Khairuzaki bin Paiman; 1st Brigade Commander YBhg. Brigadier General Dato’ Zamri bin Othman; and Commanding Officer of the 94 Armed Forces Hospital YBhg. Brigadier General Dato’ (Dr.) Amran bin Amir Hamzah, alongside senior management from MINDEF and the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM).

According to a post on the official Facebook page of the Defence Ministry, the ceremony forms part of MINDEF’s efforts to strengthen a performance-based culture of excellence and recognition across the organisation. – The Capital Post
