KUALA LUMPUR, 7 August 2026 (The Capital Post) – Defence Ministry (MINDEF) Secretary-General Datuk Lokman Hakim Ali chaired the Ministry of Defence Joint Council Meeting (Majlis Bersama Jabatan – MBJ) No. 2 of 2026 at Wisma Pertahanan.
The MBJ continues to serve as a strategic platform to strengthen two-way communication between the management and MINDEF personnel by addressing issues of mutual interest, enhancing governance and improving the ministry’s service delivery.
In line with the Public Service Reform agenda, the meeting also emphasised efforts to strengthen staff welfare, competency development, performance management and the implementation of Hybrid Working Days (HBH).

These initiatives are expected to translate into improved productivity, integrity and accountability while ensuring that defence readiness and continuity of service delivery remain unaffected.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Pertahanan Malaysia, the MBJ plays an important role in fostering cooperation between management and employees towards a more efficient and effective ministry. – The Capital Post
