MOTAC Reviews Licensing Framework to Improve Tourism Services

PUTRAJAYA, 20 July 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening licensing governance and improving service delivery through closer collaboration with its state offices.

Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing chaired a licensing meeting with state directors to discuss policy direction, implementation coordination and improvements to licensing processes nationwide.

The ministry said the meeting reflected ongoing efforts to enhance governance, improve the efficiency of public service delivery and ensure a more responsive licensing system that meets the needs of the tourism industry.

It added that close cooperation between MOTAC headquarters and its state offices remains essential in delivering quality public services and supporting the sustainable growth of Malaysia’s tourism sector.
