MyNIISe to Be Fully Implemented in June, Says Saifuddin Nasution

Putrajaya 4 May 2026 (The Capital Post)The National Integrated Immigration System (MyNIISe) will be fully implemented in June this year as part of Malaysia’s efforts to strengthen national identity management and improve immigration efficiency.

According to Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, the rollout represents a key milestone in enhancing the country’s identity management system, ensuring it remains secure, efficient, and aligned with current technological and security needs.

He said the implementation will include upgraded identity documents such as MyKad and passports, which will feature enhanced security elements to address evolving security requirements.

“I believe the National Registration Department (JPN) and the Immigration Department have made full preparations, including contingency measures. We are confident this transition will be successfully implemented in June,” he said during the Home Ministry’s monthly assembly.

System upgrades and data migration for MyNIISe are currently being carried out to ensure improved data security, stability, and efficiency in service delivery.

The initiative forms part of the government’s broader digital transformation agenda aimed at modernising public services and strengthening national security infrastructure.
