KUALA LUMPUR, 17 June 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) today launched the Hakiki Insignia for non-commissioned officers, recognising the vital role they play as the backbone of the force in safeguarding national security.
The insignia, introduced for officers holding the ranks of Sergeant, Sergeant Major and Sub-Inspector, was officially launched by Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Mohd Khalid Ismail at The Grand Sudirman Ballroom, Kuala Lumpur International Hotel.
According to a Facebook post by Polis Diraja Malaysia (Royal Malaysia Police), the initiative is part of PDRM’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the identity, image and professionalism of non-commissioned officers who serve as the operational backbone of the organisation.
Mohd Khalid said the launch symbolises the force’s formal recognition of officers serving in their respective substantive roles and acknowledges their contributions as frontline personnel responsible for ensuring policies and operations are implemented efficiently, with integrity and effectiveness.
He added that every element of the insignia represents courage, leadership, fighting spirit, unity, national identity and loyalty to the King and country, reflecting the excellence of officers as leaders at the implementation level.
