PENGKALAN HULU, Perak, 15 July 2026 (The Capital Post) – Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) Secretary-General Dato’ Shaharuddin Abu Sohot visited Huang Kuan Durian Farm to assess the agro-tourism potential of Pengkalan Hulu District.
The visit focused on exploring a unique combination of agro-tourism and eco-tourism elements aimed at offering visitors a more authentic and higher-value travel experience.
According to the ministry, the integration of agricultural attractions with natural environments has the potential not only to create distinctive experiences for tourists but also to serve as a catalyst for local economic growth.

The initiative is also expected to support efforts to strengthen domestic tourism products in conjunction with Visit Malaysia 2026.
