PORT DICKSON, 26 July 2026 (The Capital Post) – Prime Minister YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim today officiated the Program Semarak Kenegaraan at the Army Basic Training Centre (PUSASDA) in conjunction with the Warriors’ Day 2026 celebration.
The programme served as a platform to foster patriotism, strengthen national identity and recognise the sacrifices and contributions of personnel of the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) in safeguarding the nation’s peace and sovereignty.
In his address, the Prime Minister emphasised that Malaysia’s peace and stability are the result of the dedication and readiness of the Malaysian Armed Forces. He reaffirmed the MADANI Government’s commitment to enhancing the country’s defence capabilities through increased defence allocations, the modernisation of military assets, and transparent, integrity-driven procurement based on operational requirements.
The welfare of ATM personnel also remains a key priority, with various initiatives including the maintenance and development of Armed Forces Family Housing (RKAT), upgrades to military camp facilities, and continued recognition of military veterans for their service and sacrifices in defending the nation.

The programme also served as a platform to encourage Malaysians to strengthen patriotism, foster national unity, and uphold the values of integrity, discipline and responsibility as the foundation of a peaceful, sovereign and respected nation.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Pertahanan Malaysia, the programme highlighted the government’s continued commitment to strengthening national defence capabilities while recognising the contributions of the Malaysian Armed Forces and promoting the spirit of patriotism among Malaysians. – The Capital Post
