NILAI, 8 November 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) have strengthened their strategic cooperation through a friendly golf and tenpin bowling programme aimed at improving relations and coordination between the country’s two security organisations.

The programme, held on 7 November at Kota Seriemas Golf and Country Club in Nilai, formed part of ongoing efforts to support the General Working Committee (JKKA) agenda, particularly in areas involving mutual interests and inter-agency cooperation.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Mohd Khalid Ismail, who officiated the closing ceremony, highlighted the importance of close cooperation between the police and armed forces in safeguarding national security, public order and sovereignty.

He said mutual trust, coordinated action and the exchange of expertise were essential in strengthening both organisations’ capabilities to address increasingly complex security challenges.

Mohd Khalid also emphasised that sporting activities provided opportunities for personnel from both organisations to build relationships, exchange experiences and develop discipline, resilience and teamwork.

He highlighted physical fitness and mental well-being as important elements of operational readiness, while expressing hope that cooperation between PDRM and ATM would continue to expand into operations, training, administration and personnel welfare.
