She filed a notice of motion through Messrs Akberdin & Co on June 2.

Rosmah’s passport is currently held by the court as part of her bail conditions in the solar hybrid case.

According to the notice of motion, Rosmah is seeking for the immediate release of her passport to enable her to travel abroad for four weeks between June 6 and July 7.

In her supporting affidavit, Rosmah said she intended to travel to Singapore during the four weeks for a personal visit to her daughter, Nooryana Najwa Mohd Najib, who is married to a Kazakh, Daniyar Kessikbayev.

Nooryana and her family are currently residing in Singapore.

“The applicant is aware of the consequences should she disobey the court’s order to attend court proceedings and trials.

“Until today, the applicant has never failed to attend any court proceedings for mention or trial without any reasonable excuse,” she said.

Rosmah also stated that her previous two applications were not objected to by the prosecution and were allowed by a High Court and the Court of Appeal.

She said her application did not prejudice any party in her criminal case.

Rosmah was first allowed temporary access to her passport on Oct 15, 2021, when she travelled to Singapore to support her daughter who was giving birth.

On March 21, this year, the Court of Appeal allowed the second release of the passport when she went to Singapore from March 23 to May 5 to visit her daughter and grandson who was unwell.

Rosmah’s application for the release of her passport has been fixed for a hearing at the Court of Appeal on Thursday (June 15).

Her solar hybrid case, where she was convicted and sentenced to 10 years in jail and fined RM970mil, is currently at the appeal stage at the appellate court and fixed for hearing between July 11 and July 14.
