BUTTERWORTH: The Pakatan Harapan and Barisan Nasional alliance needs to use the differences in their respective grassroots strengths to ensure victory in the six state elections on Aug 12, says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

The Pakatan chairman said Barisan especially Umno has strong grassroots in the villages or rural areas while DAP’s grassroots strength was in urban areas.

He said as for PKR, the party has grassroots strength in mixed areas.

“If Pakatan-Barisan has a powerful strategy by gathering the strength of each grass root, in the future, no one can shake us,” added Anwar who is also the Prime Minister.

“The condition is that we have to mobilize all our energy,” said Anwar when he was speaking at the launch of the Jelajah Perpaduan Madani Negeri Pulau Pinang at the expo site in Seberang Jaya near here on Sunday (July 16) night.
