SUBANG JAYA, 9 July 2026 (The Capital Post) – Malaysia took another step towards strengthening its aerospace ecosystem with the groundbreaking ceremony for the Subang MRO Logistics Complex Project at Subang Aerotech Park.
Transport Minister Loke Siew Fook officiated the ceremony for the strategic development, which is a collaboration between Mitsui Fudosan Group and Malaysia Airports.
The project is designed to enhance the country’s aerospace capabilities by providing modern logistics facilities and industrial space to support the growth of the aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), aerospace and logistics sectors.
Built on a 4.42-acre site with a gross floor area of approximately 254,420 square feet, the complex will offer flexible industrial spaces for industry players, further strengthening Subang’s position as an international aerospace and business aviation hub.

Malaysia is currently the third-largest MRO market in the Asia-Pacific region, and the development is expected to attract high-quality investments, create skilled employment opportunities and reinforce the country’s standing as a leading regional aerospace destination.
The project is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2027, with operations expected to commence in the fourth quarter of the same year.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of Ministry of Transport Malaysia, the development reflects the government’s commitment to expanding Malaysia’s aerospace industry and supporting long-term economic growth through strategic infrastructure investments.- The Capital Post
