MUALLIM, 7 October 2026 (The Capital Post) – Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah officially opened the new Muallim District Police Headquarters (IPD) on 6 October, strengthening police infrastructure and security capabilities in the rapidly developing district.
The modern complex serves as an administrative and operational hub for the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), with facilities aimed at improving operational readiness and the delivery of policing services to the community.
Completed on 30 June 2025, IPD Muallim is equipped with modern technology, an efficient communications system and supporting facilities to strengthen police operations in responding to current security challenges.
Deputy Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Shamsul Anuar Hj. Nasarah said modern facilities must be supported by police personnel who demonstrate integrity, discipline and courage.
He said the strength of a policing institution depends not only on its infrastructure and equipment but also on the character and professionalism of its personnel.
Before the opening ceremony, Sultan Nazrin inspected a Guard of Honour comprising three senior officers and 103 personnel from the Federal Reserve Unit 5, Sungai Senam, Ipoh, before signing a commemorative plaque.

Also present were Raja Permaisuri Perak Tuanku Zara Salim; Raja Muda of Perak Raja Jaafar Ibni Almarhum Raja Muda Musa; Raja Dihilir Perak Raja Iskandar Dzurkarnain Ibni Almarhum Sultan Idris A’fifullah Shah; and Raja Puan Muda Perak Tunku Soraya binti Almarhum Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah.
Inspector-General of Police IG Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Panglima Hj. Mohd Khalid Hj. Ismail was also present alongside his wife and Police Family Association Malaysia chairman Puan Sri Datuk (Dr.) Hjh. Munirah Che Rose, as well as PDRM directors.
The ceremony also featured a performance by the PDRM band and a pantomime titled “Gugurnya Wira Tan Sri Khoo Chong Kong, Ketua Polis Perak pada 13 November 1975”.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of Polis Diraja Malaysia ( Royal Malaysia Police ), the new headquarters is intended to strengthen policing capabilities and improve security services for the Muallim community – The Capital Post
