MALAYSIA, 7 October 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW) is strengthening key performance indicators (KPIs) for its senior management and agencies to improve service delivery and ensure clearer accountability for outcomes benefiting the public.
The initiative aims to establish clearer work targets, strengthen leadership responsibility and assess performance based on tangible benefits delivered to communities, particularly those in rural areas.
The effort is being reinforced through the KKDW and Agencies Tier 1, Tier 2 and Subsequent Public Service Senior Management KPI Strengthening and Development Workshop, held from 6 to 7 October.
The workshop was officiated by KKDW Deputy Secretary-General (Policy) Dato’ Abdul Kahar bin Abdullah.

KKDW said stronger KPIs are intended to support simpler processes, faster action and services that better meet public needs.
